Earned PDH for Engineer Here are some common PDH questions posed by the engineer, architect, contractor, and surveyor while using our online continuing education system. Please review the information below.

Does CEU Leaf guarantee the PDH course material?

Yes. The course material is backed by our 100% guarantee. We go to great lengths to ensure the courses are thoughtfully compiled, state a clear objective, and convey relevant technical/professional information efficiently. Our courses have never been denied.

How many training hours on CEU Leaf do I need and how do I apply those hours in my state?

The terminology used for continuing education credits vary from state-to-state. One of our training hours equate to one PDH hour, one CEP hour, one CPD hour, etc. For example, in Texas (TX), an engineer needs 15 hours per year with one of those hours being in ethics. The TX professional can take our engineering ethics course (1 hour) and 14 other CEU Leaf hours to satisfy their entire training requirement. Each valid PDH/CEP training hour should be at least 50 minutes of activity, including quiz time and worksheet/handout time. All of our items are listed as PDH/CEP/CPD hours, NOT CEU hours. One CEU hour equals 10 PDH/CEP/CPD hours. Therefore, you will need to purchase 15 of our training hours to comply with Texas regulations, for example. Do my CEU Leaf credits count towards my continuing education requirements?

Yes; of the states requiring continuing education, any of our courses apply in AL, AK, AR, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, WI, and WY. We have not finalized our paperwork in NY, MD, or NJ but we are in the process. See our regulation summary from your state for detailed information.

How and when will I receive my PDH training certificate?

Training certificates are supplied immediately upon the successful conclusion of the course. The user/student must progress through the presentation, review the appropriate attachments or worksheets, and pass an online multiple-choice / true-false quiz with a grade of 70% or higher. Once the quiz is passed, a certificate will instantly be emailed to your email address of record as a PDF attachment.

How do I register for continuing education classes?

You can click on the "Register" button on the home page or on the Login page. You will then provide the necessary information and take note of the critical nature of providing an accurate name and email. The system will send a confirmation email to the address given. You must log into your email and click the confirmation link. If you do not find the confirmation email, please check your spam folder.

How do I update my password, email, or other personal information?

If you forget your password, you can have a new password emailed to your email address of record by clicking "Forgot your password?" link from the Login screen. Once logged in, you can change your password, add/update license information, and add/update personal information (including email address), from the ACCOUNT menu on the right.

How do I buy a course?

You add the PDH course to your cart and then proceed through the secured process by clicking the checkout button. To add a course from one the listing pages, click the link on the right of the list in the same row as the course. To add a course from the detailed description page (info page), click either the Sun Graphic at the top or the Add to Cart button at the bottom of the page. You must be registered and logged in to complete the checkout process.

How do I use a coupon or promotion code?

Before you click the checkout button, you must type your code into the coupon field and then click APPLY. If it is a valid coupon, your discount should appear in the detail area and your cart total will be adjusted.

Can I use more than one coupon or promotion code?

No. After you have entered a valid coupon you cannot enter a second coupon. Even though the coupon field is blank, the system will not allow you to enter a second coupon.

How do I start a course?

First, you must purchase the course. The purchase confirmation page includes a link to immediately begin the first course in your cart. Alternatively, you can go to your "My Account" page and click on Courses Purchased. You can then click Start the Course to begin.

How do I access the quiz for a course?

The quiz is accessible from the last slide of each course. When you reach the last slide, the forward "Slide Control" button changes into a "Start Quiz" button to begin the quiz. Click it and you will begin the quiz.

How do I evaluate a course?

Once a quiz is passed, you will be shown your quiz score and then have the option to continue back to your "My Account" page or evaluate the course you have just completed. We appreciate your feedback so please consider taking two minutes to let us know your thoughts.

Can I get extra copies of my certificate(s)?

Yes. You can obtain additional copies at any time by simply going to your "My Account" page and clicking the "View/Print Certificates" link on the right hand side. From there, you can instantly request an emailed version be sent again or even print a copy yourself.

What is the Courses Purchased section of the My Account page?

This area lists every course that you have already bought but have NOT started yet. This is where you can START a course.

What is the Courses Begun section of the My Account page?

This area enables you to CONTINUE a course when you elect to stop, take a break, etc. Our system keeps track of your progress through a course and enables you to stop at any time. This area enables you to resume any class that you have already begun.

What is the Courses Completed section of the My Account page?

This area lists every course that you have completed and the completion date. It also enables you to print your certificate.

Can I search for the courses that apply in my state?

Yes. By using the "I am a(n): Engineer Licensed in:" pick list in the middle navigation bar, the system searches for courses that may apply for your discipline and state. You can then review the detail course description (info button) or add a course to your cart.

Can I conduct a refined course search?

Yes, from your "My Account" page or from the "Products/Courses" (navigation menu) page, you can search using the following parameters; Keywords, Price Range, Course Category, and Course Hour range. You may also specify whether you want to the search results to "Include Courses You Have Already Purchased" and/or "Include Bundled Packages Only." When you select the bundle packages option, only grouped course offers will be displayed.

Will I earn a teaching certificate for providing a course?

Yes. We will issue a certificate for each new course you provide to us for the other CEU Leaf users. This certificate may be applicable towards your continuing education requirements in the states that you are licensed. Certificates are granted once your course is approved and available publically on the site.

Can I speak with someone about becoming an instructor?

Yes. Once we receive your teaching inquiry, we will schedule a time to speak with you if you prefer. However, the entire process can be conducted via email correspondence but we are available if desired.

How do I apply my online training towards my training requirement?

You can simply log your CEU training specifics just as you would other in-person training sessions. The process may vary from state-to-state and from discipline-to-discipline so please consult your specific requirements.

Will CEU Leaf send my online training history to my Board?

Yes. For the Boards that mandate provider verification, we will email or fax your certificate upon request.
